AI and wearable sensors to cut antibiotic use

UF project on using AI and wearable sensors to reduce antibiotic use in dairy cows. The project brings together researchers from animal sciences, veterinary medicine, and engineering to help identify which cows with metritis, a costly postpartum disease, can recover naturally without antibiotics. Our lab leads the AI side, and I’ve been hands-on with it from data collection at the farm through model development and validation.
